Our five fave water sports in Norfolk (and where to find them!)

Summer is here and the sea is calling. Norfolk's coast is brimming with water sports a-plenty. Read on for our favourite activities and where to find them.
- Sailing is a summer pastime in Norfolk and we recommend Faire Sailing in Burnham Overy Staithe. Faire is unique in that can sail at all tide stages and offers a range of courses from introductory family taster sessions, to multi-day packs. Courses are tailored to suit all levels so there's no excuse not to try!
- Cornwall may well be surfer's paradise but nipping at its heels is Norfolk. Glide Surf School in Cromer has been ripping up the waves since 2007. They offer surf hire and lessons for all levels starting from 8yrs. Group lessons or private are available with expert tuition and all equipment - boards, paddles, wetsuits, boots, gloves, hoods- included in the price. Stand-up paddle board lessons also available.
- Just a stone's throw westward down the beach is SUP Shack Sheringham. Group and individual board hire available, along with lessons. Glide along the Sheringham coast with friends and afterwards fuel up and celebrate with some of the best Mexican in Norfolk at Guac&Mole.
- For a great day out the Norfolk Broads never disappoint. Ok, whilst technically NOT a 'water sport, after partaking the above, sometimes a lazy day is required. Pack a picnic and cruise the causeways with Norfolk Broads Direct. Whilst group river tours are available, we like to take the helm ourselves with an individual boat hire for the day.
- See the seals. Again, not a 'sport' per se, but obvs has to be on our list. Duh. Head to Temple Boats for great views, expert knowledge and cheeky skippers!
- BONUS! Take a dip! Right, it's a bit on the nose, but it's free, fun and oh so invigorating! Wells is great for its tidal pools and always a fan favourite, but for open-water we like Sheringham Beach for the promenade, lifeguard duty and the ability to always find your perfect spot along the beach.
