spotted-seal Year in Review? So last year...

Here's to looking forward, (not backward!)

For those who keep up with spotted-seal social media channels, you'll know my thoughts on posting YIR posts. It is always good to reflect and take a moment to appreciate the small wins, such as launching a business, which probably isn't so small. Actually, it's a pretty good feeling. But now the hard work begins.    

In my prior life, days were spent dressing-up investor decks with fancy graphics and colourful, if broadly irrelevant historical performance charts and filler slides.

Good for context, but it exists in our rear-view mirror.

Stare too long and you're liable to have an accident.

Indeed, if working in financial markets has taught me anything, it's that past performance is not an indication of future returns. 
(So critical indeed the declaration alone commands a legally required font size.)

This, and expectation management. (IYKYK.) 

Like you, we're far more interested in what lies ahead. Whilst one could always argue there is no perfect time to start a small business, we're optimistic, and with our adult range of hoodies now launched and everything starting to take shape, we're pretty thrilled with how spotted-seal is taking shape. 

Above all, I'm grateful to have the opportunity to give this a go. The enthusiasm from friends, colleagues and my amazing family who continue to support me in so many ways means everything. (You'll spot my boys gracing many of our product pages!)
